Despite their reputation as serial rapists ant ruthless manipulators of mankind’s destiny, the gods were also capable of empathy and compassion as on the night where Orestes receives the blessing of the goddess Athena following his acquittal on the charge of matricide. In attendance Apollo singing to his lyre and a.n. other who wandered into the scene and stayed to take part.
